PRIVACY POLICY – Brick LLC
Effective Date: July 20, 2025
Brick LLC ("us", "we", or "our") offers services (the “Service”) through a combination of a small hardware device and smartphone application. The Brick app allows users to temporarily block access to other applications on their phone. Users select which applications they’d like to keep access to, then tap their phone to the Brick device, and all other applications are blocked. To unblock, they tap the device again.
Brick uses a development framework provided by Apple for iOS developers. We do not collect or transmit data about the apps you block — that information stays on your device.
What Data We Don’t Collect
Your privacy is core to how Brick works. We do not collect or have access to:
-
The list of apps on your phone
-
Which apps you block or allow
-
Any content within your apps or phone
All of that data remains entirely on your device and is protected by Apple’s Screen Time frameworks. Brick only facilitates the mode activation via your tap — we never see or store what gets blocked.
What We Can See
We do have access to limited app-level data (linked to your Brick account) to help improve our service and support users. This may include:
-
Total time spent in “Brick mode”
-
Number and names of custom modes you’ve created
-
Session activity logs (such as when a Brick session starts or ends)
This information does not include the specific apps within each mode or how you use your phone during a session.
