Introducing the Brick
Brick is a physical device that temporarily removes distracting apps and their notifications from your phone. Keep the tools you choose and leave the rest behind.
Designed for simplicity. No subscriptions. No complex setups. Just more time for what matters.

How it Works

Collapsible content
Step 1: Open the Brick App
Launch the Brick app on your phone to begin setting up your distraction-free experience.
Step 2: Choose the Apps to Leave Unblocked
- Select which apps and websites you want to keep accessible - all other apps will be blocked when Brick is activated.
- If you prefer, you can instead create a blocked list and select which apps and websites you want to block when Brick is activated.
- You can create multiple modes, each with its own set of blocked apps for different parts of your day - whether it's work, family time, or focused studying.
Step 3: Scan Brick to Block Everything Else
Once you’ve selected a mode, physically tap your phone to the Brick, or tap and hold the Brick button in the app, to Brick your phone.
Step 4: Block Distractions, Keep the Tools
- While your phone is Bricked, your blocked apps and websites will be blocked until you choose to unblock them.
- Place your Brick somewhere out of reach to reinforce your focus.
- Need emergency access? Each device includes 5 emergency unbricks that you can activate in the app to regain access.
Step 5: Later, Scan Brick Again to Unblock
When you're ready, physically tap your phone to the Brick again to unblock your selected apps, websites, and notifications.

What makes it Different?
With other solutions, the "key" that re-enables distractions is always present. Brick allows you to leave that key behind, turning your phone into a new, distraction-free device until you return.

Who Bricks?
Tom The student
I Brick my phone before I go to do homework. That way I can focus without the temptation to use social media, but I can still listen to my study playlist on Spotify.
Tools left unblocked:
- Spotify
- Calculator

Mark The explorer
I Brick my phone any time I hit the trail or the campsite. I can still use all the great apps for exploring, while I’m out in nature I won’t have any distractions on my phone pulling my attention away.
Tools left unblocked:
- Camera
- AllTrails
- Star Tracker

Elle The everyday disconnector
I Brick my phone and then read a book or take a walk. It’s nice knowing someone can reach me if they need to, but the constant notifications of social media won’t follow me out of the house.
