Need help blocking?

See below for blocking tips and reach out to hello@getbrick.app with any questions!

Shortcut

We use this shortcut (link) to block apps that are not able to block normally with Brick. Some Apple apps - like Settings and Safari in Allow Mode - require a shortcut to be blocked. This shortcut can also be used to block any app with Brick.

Always Allowed list

Apple's Always Allowed list (Settings > Screen Time > Always Allowed) will take priority over Brick's App Picker list. If an app is wrongly blocked - try adding it to the list. If an app is wrongly allowed - confirm the app is not on the list

Browser blocking

Safari: Block Mode allows Safari app and specific sites to be blocked in App Picker. Note that the website list is generated from Apple and cannot be edited. Allow Mode requires a shortcut to block Safari (see above)

Other browser apps (e.g, Chrome, Yahoo): Brick is able to block all browser apps, but cannot block specific website links
